Will we be able to further reduce the weight per unit area of nonwovens? Which properties will emerge from new raw materials? What is the nonwovens technology going to look like tomorrow? Our Technology Center offers ourselves, our customers, suppliers and raw material producers unique opportunities worldwide to find the answers to these and other questions.
Many producers have to decide whether to develop or to produce and make money. Do both. Use our technoloy center for your trials while your own lines continue producing.
Perform research and development close to production in our technology center: The installed line technology only differs in its width from current production lines. For this reason, all the results are extremely comprehensive and can be used in practice.
Benefit from the longstanding experience and know-how of the Reicofil team when carrying out your trials and product developments. We accompany you in the planning and execution of your trials.
Over eighty percent of nonwovens go into the production of hygiene and medical articles. In this area nonwovens have to meet high requirements. Stay in tune with new trends and demands. Our line for hygiene and medical applications can be flexibly adapted to meet your requirements, for example with the installation of a further spin beam, new treatment processes, and other equipment.

Our line especially designed for technical nonwovens shows that it is possible to make much more out of nonwovens than products for hygiene and medical applications. Different bonding processing enable you to produce especially voluminous or soft nonwovens on this line – for example for wipes, geotextiles and roofing sheets. Enter into new markets. Find your niche.

hardware
Conducting trials is one thing, the reliable evaluation of results another. In our laboratory we can carry out all common analyses directly after or already during a trial. In this way we get rapidly tangible results.
Denier
Making diameters of 1µm visible. We get into detail. The quality of the individual fibres of a nonwoven can be determined by magnifying the fabric produced by a factor of up to 50. With our microscopes we can determine the fibre denier manually or fully automatically.
Strengths
Does the nonwoven withstand the specified mechanical stresses? Two measuring machines are available to determine tensile strength, tear propagation resistance, elongation at break, and elasticity references both in machine direction and in transverse direction.
Filtration properties
Which particle sizes can penetrate the nonwoven, and which cannot? How high is the separation efficiency at which pressure consumption? We use particle and air permeability measuring processes to determine the filtration properties.
Raw material
properties
To achieve optimum processing properties, predrying is required for some raw materials, for instance recyced materials such as PET bottle flakes. The lower the residual moisture in the material, the better. We use two different processes (infrared heating and heating oven ) for exact determination of the residual moisture.
Permeability and separation performance
Which water pressure does the nonwoven withstand until the first drops penetrate the material? How quickly does the liquid flow through the hydrophilic nonwoven, what is degree of rewet? With Hydro Head, Strike-Through, Rewet, Run-Off or Masdon Jar measuring instruments we are able to conduct all necessary tests on the properties of nonwovens in relation with liquids.
