meltblown technology

Optimum barrier and filtration properties.

In the REICOFIL singlerow meltblown process, polymer is spun through a spinneret provided with hundreds of holes in a single row. Streams of hot air exiting at both sides of the spinneret tip attenuate the polymer melt to form the finest filaments which subsequently get blown by high velocity air onto a collector screen. The result is a meltblown fabric with excellent barrier and filtration properties.

Fibre diameter under 1µ

The continuous fibres produced by the singlerow meltblown process have a diameter below one micrometer. This makes them suitable for the production of highly demanding HEPA filters with H12 filtration efficiency.

Targeted blowing of secondary air

In the REICOFIL singlerow meltblown process all filaments are stretched across the whole die width at exactly the same temperature. The uniform stretching results in a constant fibre quality over the entire material web.

Process stability
Single-piece die up to 5.2m

Weld seams can lead to flaws in the nonwoven fabric For ths reason, we always distribute the melt across a single-piece die – even at line widths of 5.2 meters. Your benefits: even melt distribution, only one spin pump, and only one spinneret.


meltblown technology

Perfect elasticity and absorption properties.

In the multirow meltblown process the polymer melt is spun through a spinneret provided with up to 18 rows of fine nozzles. Depending on the application of the technology, the filaments are horizontally blown onto a drum or vertically onto the collector screen. The result is meltblown fabrics of extremely high elasticity and good absorption properties.

Product quality

Each section is equipped with its own gear pump which controls the polymer flow to ensure uniform basic weights. Each pump is individually driven to allow maximum versatility.

High capacity

High output rates can be achieved depending on the fibre diameter produced. Multiple rows allow for up to 12000 nozzles per meter and fibers ranging from 1-25 microns.

The innovative interchangeable cassette

Use both technologies in one line. Our interchangeable cassette allows you to change between REICOFIL singlerow and multirow technology, which is comparable with a standard die change. The cassette can be retrofitted to all REICOFIL meltblown lines.
